Ayla Çiğa, who came to Toros University to register, was accompanied by Mersin Governor Ali Hamza Pehlivan, Toroslar District Governor İbrahim Çenet, Provincial Director of National Education Adem Koca and Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz.
Stating that the mothers of martyrs are the relics of their children, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz stated that this determination and success is admirable and said, "Our mother Ayla had made us proud by graduating from the cookery programme at our university before, she won the psychology department of our university with another success and we met again under the roof of Toros. I wish that this determination of our mother Ayla and her tireless work will be an example for all of us."
Stating that she had a great time and her perspective on life changed while studying the cookery programme at Toros University, Ayla Çiğa said: "As a teacher's wife, I became a mother who prepared my children Yiğitcan, Hürcan and Anacan for exams, instilled in them the importance of education and guided them. As a family, we have lived with the awareness of the importance of education throughout our lives. My perspective on life has changed a lot during my education life. When I entered the school garden, I said, "This is my place." From now on, I said to Ayla, "No stopping, I want to study." Lessons do not force me, I love them. I even study when I feel sad about something. I realise that I am studying. I forget the sadness and focus on the lesson. It has become a part of my life. I understood and felt the beauty of this, so reading is like a medicine for me."
