Heroes Of Turkey 100 Years Exhibition At Toros Uni̇versi̇ty

Speaking at the exhibition, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz said, "The coup attempt on the night of July 15, 2016 was defeated thanks to the honorable resistance of our heroic nation and the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Our nation has achieved a great democratic victory against FETÖ with unprecedented courage in the world and has once again shown the power of Turkey to the world. Turkey has put forward the goals of the Turkish Century thanks to the sacrifices and self-sacrifices of its heroes in its just struggles since 1923. The July 15th epic was written with our nation's strong will, determination, and love of homeland and nation. The Heroes of the Turkish Century have demonstrated that the Turkish nation will not give up its unity and solidarity at any cost by protecting the independence of our country and the sovereignty of the national will at the cost of their lives, that no internal or external attempt will be surrendered to any attempt against the independence of the Turkish nation, and that the second century of the Republic will be the Century of Turkey. The greatest legacy of our July 15 martyrs and veterans is that they gave us the opportunity to imagine and feel the honour of living the Century of Turkey at the cost of their lives. The Heroes of the Turkish Century have thus inspired many more heroes who fulfilled their duties in various fields in the breakthrough realized by our country, our state and our nation. On this occasion, on the seventh anniversary of the July 15th epic,  I once again commemorate with respect and gratitude our 251 citizens who did not turn from their path for the love of homeland and flag and who were martyred".
