Toros University Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture, Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students organised a jacket wearing ceremony.

Sertaç Özveren, Rector Prof. Dr. Ömer Arıöz, Dean of GSTMF Prof. Dr. Uğurcan Akyüz, Head of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department Prof. Dr. Bahar Taner, academicians and students attended the opening ceremony. After the cutting of the opening ribbon, the academicians who visited the new practice kitchen were given information about the practice kitchen and pastry kitchen. Within the scope of the ceremony, a cooperation protocol was signed between Toros University Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Department and Toros Deluxe Hotel.

After the protocol, a jacket wearing ceremony was held in the conference hall. Speaking at the ceremony, which started with a moment of silence and the reading of the National Anthem, Head of the Department of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Prof. Dr. Bahar Taner said: "Firsts have always been important in life. The jacket-wearing ceremony of Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students is also an event that represents a beginning and the first step in the profession. Toros University is a university that not only transfers knowledge, but also produces and applies it. Therefore, today's event will be the best indicator of this. Because I know that our new kitchen facility, which is one of the valuable investments of our university, will be a working place where the students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts department will spend most of their time in their future lives, and I know that they will put into practice the knowledge they receive in both theoretical and practical courses in the best way possible. I wish that our new kitchen facility will be beneficial to our university and will be instrumental in raising competent gastronomes. Dear students, you will produce beautiful flavours that are works of art under the guidance of our department's professors, chefs and doyens. Because your profession requires this, gastronomy is a profession that is intertwined with people, cares about people, and adopts making people happy as a priority. I wish you all success in your future education and professional life."

After the opening speech, the ceremony ended with the students putting on their jackets one by one.
