Double Celebration At Toros University: Young Physical Therapists Don Their White Coats On Physical Therapists’ Day
Students from the Department of Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation at Toros University’s Faculty of Health Sciences made a meaningful start to their careers by donning their white lab coats during a ceremony held on April 8, Physical Therapists’ Day.
Toros University’s 45 Evler Campus brought together both professional pride and the healthcare professionals of the future on April 8, 2026. The White Coat Ceremony, held in conjunction with April 8 Physical Therapists’ Day, took place with great enthusiasm in the conference hall at 1:00 PM.
The ceremony, which began with a moment of silence and the playing of the National Anthem, was attended by Faculty of Health Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Fügen Özcanarslan, faculty members, students, and families.
Following the speeches, first-year students were invited to the podium and donned their white lab coats under the guidance of faculty members. Taking a symbolic yet powerful step toward their professional careers, the students also celebrated the special day of their colleagues on the same day.
The ceremony concluded with commemorative photos taken with their families and celebratory activities. From now on, every April 8 will mark both a professional holiday and a special anniversary marking the beginning of their professional journey for these students.
