Breast Cancer Awareness Month Event At Toros University

Toros University School of Health Services organized a conference as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The event took place on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the 45 Evler Campus Conference Hall. SHMYO Director Dilan SARPKAYA, academics, and students attended the conference.

The program began with an opening speech by Dr. Esma GÖKÇE. Then, Opr. Dr. Bülent HALAÇLAR gave a presentation titled “What is Breast Cancer? How Common is it? What Should We Do for Early Diagnosis? and Innovations in Surgical Treatment.”

Later in the conference, Lecturer Demet ÖZER gave a presentation titled “Breast Self-Examination (BSE).” Özer provided information on “What is BSE? Why is it done? When is it done? and How is it done?”

As part of the event, awareness activities were conducted by distributing informative brochures to students at a booth set up in the front yard of the 45 Evler Campus.
