A White Coat Ceremony Was Held For Nutrition And Dietetics Students

Second- and third-year students from the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at Toros University's Faculty of Health Sciences gathered for the “White Coat Ceremony,” symbolizing their first step into their professional lives. The ceremony was held with great enthusiasm in the 45 Evler Campus Conference Hall.

The opening speeches of the ceremony were made by Prof. Dr. Fügen Özcanarslan, Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Betül Gülşen, Head of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics. In their speeches, they emphasized the importance of nutrition and dietetics for human health and stressed that students should adopt an ethical, science-based approach in their professional lives.

The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Yüksel Özdemir, academics, students, and families. During the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Özpak Akkuş administered the professional oath ceremony to the students. Following the oath ceremony, the academics dressed the students in white coats, symbolizing their entry into the profession.

The event concluded with commemorative photographs being taken.
