Prof. Dr. Ömer ARIÖZ was born in 1972 in Izmit. He completed his undergraduate education at the Department of Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 1995, and his master's degree at the Department of Civil Engineering at Middle East Technical University in 1997. He completed his PhD in Civil Engineering in 2005 and his PhD in Economics in 2012 from Anadolu University.
Professor Arıöz, who also has more than ten years of private sector experience, has held senior management positions in large-scale national and international companies. He started his academic career as a research assistant at Middle East Technical University, and worked as a lecturer, doctor, lecturer and professor at Anadolu University and Hasan Kalyoncu University. Professor Arıöz served as Vice Rector and Head of Civil Engineering Department at Hasan Kalyoncu University. Prof. Arıöz has many scientific publications and he has also worked as a researcher in six projects, one of which was as a project manager.
Appointed as a professor of Civil Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering at Toros University in 2020, Prof. Arıöz is married and has two children.
