Message From the Rector

MESSAGE FROM THE RECTOR:

DEAR AND VALUABLE FAMILY OF TOROS,

As of 27 August 2020, I have started my rectorship at Toros University. I greet especially our dear students, teachers and administrative staff; as well as our rectors who have served for our university, all our graduates and employees who add value to our university, with utmost respect and love.

Our biggest goal is to transform it into an entrepreneurial university with an innovative and proactive approach that contributes much more to the development of our country, domestic and national production. With all of our efforts and hard work, Toros University will be amongst pioneers in the national and international arena and it will be at the top of the rankings.

In the Eleventh Development Plan (2019-2023), an economic development process that increases the productivity of our country in all areas and produces more value with the national technology move has been adopted, and the increase in welfare and the continuous development orientation have been put forward as the priority objectives.

As a university, our goal will be to catch up with the digital age and achieve knowledge and research and development outputs that can compete at the international level. This process will also be supported by projects that will facilitate employment on behalf of our graduates with a student-oriented perspective.

In this context, I will manage my rectorship at Toros University by keeping in mind our country's development vision and priorities. My previous vice-rector and managerial duties in industrial organizations, both academic and field experiences, will contribute to development of university-industry cooperation, the implementation of the technology transfer office, the development of new training programs, the preparation of start-up projects, the development of a wide variety of social responsibility projects at Toros, with the aim of raising the university's position in national and international rankings.

Let's catch the time. Let's not miss the digital age and the opportunities it will offer us. Let's work with all our strength to help Toros University reach its goals and strengthen our position in national and international arenas.
