Professional Practice

Within the scope of the Computer Programming Program, a compulsory professional practice is implemented in order to enable students to develop their professional knowledge and skills in a practical environment.

As part of the Professional Practice course in our program, students are required to complete 70 working days of compulsory professional practice in the 4th semester, which corresponds to the spring term of the second year. This practice aims to help students gain hands-on experience, become familiar with the industry, and apply their theoretical knowledge in real-world environments before graduation.

During the professional practice period, students have the opportunity to observe and participate in real work processes in fields such as information technologies, software development, technical support, and database management within public institutions or private sector organizations. They are also able to enhance their professional competencies through direct involvement in these processes. The professional practice activities are carried out in accordance with the regulations and under the supervision of the Vocational School’s professional practice commission.

The application procedures, evaluation criteria, required documents, and reporting/writing guidelines for the professional practice are defined within the relevant directive.
