The assessment and evaluation process in the Undergraduate Program of Business Administration at Toros University aims to assess students' acquisition of knowledge, skills, and competencies through an objective, transparent, and multifaceted approach. This process is carried out systematically in order to monitor the attainment level of program outcomes and to provide data for continuous improvement activities.
Within the scope of the program, assessment and evaluation are structured to measure not only students' theoretical knowledge, but also their analytical thinking, critical evaluation, problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and practical application skills.
In each course, students are evaluated through midterm examinations, final examinations, quizzes, assignments, case studies, project works, presentations, and practical assessments. Depending on the nature of the course, different and complementary assessment tools may be employed.
When calculating the final grade of each course, the evaluation percentages specified in the Bologna Information Package of the relevant course are taken as the basis. Obtaining a minimum score of 45 points on the final examination is one of the fundamental requirements for success.
In order to be eligible to take the final examination, students are required to attend at least 70% of theoretical courses and at least 80% of applied courses.
A letter grading system is applied in the program. Grades of AA, BA, BB, CB, and CC are considered successful, while DC and DD grades are considered conditionally successful. For a student to be regarded as successful in a course in which they received a DC or DD grade, their cumulative weighted grade point average must be at least 2.00.
The results of assessment and evaluation are associated with program outcomes; based on the data obtained, course contents, teaching methods, and assessment tools are regularly reviewed and updated. In this way, the sustainability and continuous improvement of the educational quality in the Undergraduate Program of Business Administration are ensured.
